Our Programs

Come get involved with our programs for all ages.

Children’s Programs
Children are a very important part of our ministry at Whitehouse UMC. We offer a professionally staffed nursery for children up to 3 years old during both worship services and the Sunday School hour.

  • Children 3 years and older are encouraged to participate in worship. Children’s Church provides supervised activities for preschool youngsters during the sermon and final moments of worship at the 10:45 am service.
  • Sunday School classes are organized for all grade levels.
  • Crusaders For Christ is a ministry during the school year, where children of the community gather for snacks, games and Bible Study.
  • 4-5-6’ers is a youth ministry for those in 4th, 5th, & 6th grades.
  • Children entering 5th grade and above are encouraged to participate in the Tri-District Camp each summer.

Youth Activities
Both Junior High and Senior High Sunday School classes are offered.

  • United Methodist Youth Fellowship meets each Sunday afternoon at 5 pm and Wednesday evening at 6 pm for food, fellowship, worship and learning.
  • UM Army is a summer program offered to Senior High youth, giving them a chance to reach out to other communities, doing carpentry and repair work for needy elderly people. Whitehouse UMC has also been a “base camp” for several UM Army groups working in our community during the summer.
  • The District camping program extends to youth in their first summer after graduation from high school.

Adult Activities
Sunday School classes for young and mature adults.

  • The Fellowship Class studies materials from the Methodist Publishing House. It is a lively, friendly class for senior adults.
  • The Young Adults Class is a God-loving, spirit-seeking group of young adults that uses material related to issues that are relevant today.
  • The Discovery Class is a lively, interactive discussion class using Methodist materials.
  • The Side-by-Side Class is a lecture/discussion class studying the Bible from Genesis to Revelation for all ages of adults.
  • Wednesday Night Classes are available during the Spring and Fall and start at 7:00 pm.
